Rumours have long been circulating about a Pro version of the upcoming iPhone 7, but it seems the higher-end handset is far from a sure thing.
Earlier today, an image hit the internet that claimed to show the Pro model alongside the Plus and standard version of the iPhone 7.
But, perhaps in response to this latest iPhone 7 Pro news, well-known tipster Evan Blass – otherwise known as evleaks – has taken to Twitter to say that only two models will be launched.
Blass revealed in the tweet what he says are the two codenames for the iPhone 7 models: Sonora and Dos Palos.

The rumoured Pro model has been said to feature a dual camera setup, whereas the iPhone 7 standard model is expected to come with a single lens.
However, it could be that Apple has been testing a Pro version of the handset, but has now decided to scrap the idea.
Alongside Blass' update come new photos that once again appear to show the new iPhone, as spotted by TechTastic.
As 9to5Mac points out, the images are dubious to say the least, with the Apple logo appearing to be a sticker – and image analysis has revealed that cloning has taken place.
In other words, this could just be the latest example of a decent Photoshop job. Either way, the photos don't reveal anything we haven't seen thus far.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 7 in early September, when we'll finally find out whether we'll be getting a Pro version of the handset.
