Huawei Ascend P6 now available to pre-order at Carphone Warehouse

Huawei Ascend P6, the world’s slimmest smartphone will cost £329 SIM-free

Carphone Warehouse has announced that the Huawei Ascend P6 is now available to pre-order and will be available across all networks.

The world’s thinnest smartphone which was announced by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer earlier this week comes in black, white and pink flavours and can be grabbed on Vodafone for the cheapest with a price tag of £21 a month on a 24-month contract.

Talk Mobile, Orange and T-Mobile also offer monthly contracts with the latter giving you unlimited text and data with 500 minutes for £27 a month. If you want to grab the handset without a contract though, Carphone Warehouse is offering the Huawei smartphone SIM-free for £329.

The P6 which looks set to take on the likes of the Nexus 4, measures in at just 6.18mm thick beating the iPhone 5 (7.6mm) and the Samsung Galaxy S4 (7.9mm) considerably in the slender handset stakes.

Other notable features of the Android smartphone include a sizeable 4.7-inch 720p resolution display with a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM to deliver the speedy performance and take care of multitasking. Brandishing an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, up front there’s a 5-Megapixel snapper to deliver those high quality selfies.

Running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Huawei’s own Emotion UI overlaid on top, 8GB of on board memory should provide sufficient storage for your files but can be expanded via microSD. A 2,000 mAh battery is supported by Huawei’s Power Management software to make sure the P6 doesn’t run out on you during the day.

A Huawei Ascend P6 UK release date has been slated for July 4th and you can get more details on contracts and prices at Carphone Warehouse.
