Here’s how specific you can be with Xbox One Elite controller mapping
Microsoft has released a video showcasing just how specific you can be with your Xbox One Elite Controller mapping.
The Xbox One Elite Controller was announced at E3 alongside its companion app, which you can use to fully customise your new £120 controller.
Well, Microsoft has built the hype around its upcoming professional controller even more with the below video, providing a closer look at just how many options you’ll have come release.
“So at E3 we talked about the app at a high level. Today we’re going to talk about some specific features that you haven’t seen before that let you see how you can basically set up the controller in an unlimited amount of ways,” explained Xbox’s Navin Kumar.
According to Xbox, you can store up to 255 different configurations in the companion app, meaning you can get the best out of your controller for every single Xbox One game you play.
You can have two loaded up at a time using the controller’s memory, and there’s a switch in the centre that allows you to quickly change between profiles one and two.

For each profile you create in the app, you can make the paddles, buttons, analogue sticks and triggers behave the way you want them to. You can choose from 14 different digital inputs for each one and even have multiple buttons on the controller do the same thing.
The app also lets you fine tune the analogue sticks’ sensitivity for further customisation. That goes for the triggers too, meaning you can get 100 per cent output without having to fully depress the triggers.
