Battlefield 4 teaser trailer launched ahead of Gamescom 2013

Electronic Arts has released a Battlefield 4 teaser trailer ahead of its presence at Gamescom 2013.

Building the hype for Battlefield 4 prior to the EA Games press conference at Gamescom on August 20, the latest teaser trailer focuses on one particular Battlefield fanboy.

The German teaser trailer showcases long time Battlefield gamer, Heiner, a 74 year old German chap who has clocked up 8000 hours playing Battlefield games.

“Battlefield 4 at Gamescom; I will be there, will you be too?” says Heiner in German.

Gameplay footage is shown interspersed with Heiner playing Battlefield, complete with a headset for online play.

On August 20, there’s EA’s 2013 press conference at Gamescom 2013, which will unveil an all-new Battlefield 4 multiplayer mode and map.

“Starting August 20, EA and DICE will make one its biggest gamescom appearances in history”, states the official Battlefield 4 blog.

Battlefield 4 will have a huge presence at Gamescom 2013, along with other forthcoming EA Games titles like Titanfall and The Sims 4.

“We’ll also give you the first look at our upcoming Battlefield 4 Premium content,” added Electronic Arts.

EA Games will also be letting Gamescom 2013 attendees get hands-on with the new Battlefield 4 multiplayer. They’ll also be able to get the first glimpse of the “all-new explosive game mode on a map that [EA Games] have kept under wraps for the show.”

Battlefield 4 will be powered by the new Frostbite 3 engine and is said to be the “most human, dramatic and believable game” in the series so far, according to EA and DICE.

The Battlefield 4 release date has been set as November 1 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms. It will also be released at some point in the future for PS4 and Xbox One.
