Ubisoft is finally taking its well-known IP to iOS with a new title called Assassin's Creed Identity.

Assassin's Creed is going mobile, with the series' first ever action-RPG launching on iOS this month.

Arriving on February 25, Assassin's Creed Identity will see players solving The Mystery of the Crows. There will be a main campaign, and as is customary with Assassin's Creed games, a countless number of sidequests.

You'll be able to create and customise your own assassin, with characters being one of four individual classes: Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster and Thief.

The game will take your character through adventures spread across iconic settings during the Italian Renaissance. Settings include the Santa Croce area in Florence and the Colosseum in Rome.

Sadly, the below announcement trailer shows very little of the gameplay to be found in Assassin's Creed Identity, but we have embedded all available screenshots below.

Ubisoft states that the game will bring "the fun, the freedom of movement and parkour to iOS", with the game using dual virtual stick controls, tap to move or gamepad controls.

"Assassin's Creed Indentity uses the Unity engine to create stunning graphics never before seen on a mobile device, through amazing custom-made HD textures, shaders and models," claims Ubisoft in a statement.

The game is in development at Blue Byte and will retail for £3.99. It will need iOS 7 or higher and you'll need to have an iPad 3 or better or iPhone 5 or later.
