Apple’s quietly holding a big App Store sale: Now’s the time to buy Goat Simulator

Apple doesn’t tend to do many sales, so you might want to take full advantage of this one.

100 rather popular apps and games in the App Store, including GoodReader, Badland, The Room Two and Goat Simulator, have had their prices slashed to just £0.79.

Considering that some of the discounted products would usually set you back £5, you could make yourself a tidy little saving.

It’s not clear how long the sale will go on for, so we’d recommend moving quickly. If you’re unsure of what to download, take a look at our round-ups of the best iPad games and the best iPhone games.

Apple appears to be in high spirits after an excellent third quarter.

The company brought in $49.6 billion, of which $10.7 billion was net profit. This represents a 38 per cent increase on the $7.7 billion it made during the same period last year.

The Apple Watch was also hailed as the most popular wearable on the market, with Canalys saying that Apple has sold well over 4 million units so far. We’re still far from impressed with the timepiece, however, giving it just 6/10 in our review.

The company’s gearing up for the launch of the much-rumoured iPhone 6S, which we’re expecting to see for the first time in September. Watch the clip below for the lowdown.
