Windows 10 Anniversary update also hitting mobile this summer

Earlier this week Microsoft confirmed the hotly anticipated Windows 10 Anniversary update would arrive for PCs on August 2.
Now, it seems the company is also planning to bring the update to the mobile version of its OS, starting on the same date.
According to a tweet from head of the Windows Insider program, Donna Sarkar, the update will be rolled out across all Windows 10 devices over time, starting on August 2.

As reported by MSPU, this could mean mobile devices will get the update following the PC roll-out, something which Microsoft seemingly confirmed to the site in a statement:
“Windows 10 on PC and mobile will be the first to receive the Anniversary Update. Other devices will get it over time, and we will have more to share on this in the future.
“The Anniversary Update will start on August 2nd and roll out over time. Given the scale of delivering updates to more than 350 million devices around the world, our rollout will be measured and deliberate to ensure we deliver a great customer experience.”
The forthcoming update will bring a host of new features to Microsoft’s OS, including improvements to the Surface Pen, Cortana enhancements, and Windows Hello website integration.
