According to reports, the hotly-anticipated machine could feature an AMD Zen APU.
According to Italian website bits and chips, Intel’s Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake units are not progressing as fast as hoped, prompting Apple to consider a different solution.

Recent reports suggest Apple will announce the new MacBook Pro in late October, after it was left out of September’s iPhone 7 announcement.
The laptop is rumoured to feature a touch-sensitive OLED panel to replace the current function keys.
It is also thought the company could ditch the MagSafe charging solution for USB-C, a la the 12-inch Retina MacBook.
