Virgin just slashed prices on its broadband packages

Black Friday may be over but it has seemingly put Virgin Media in a generous mood as the company has slashed prices on its broadband packages.
The various standalone options have been discounted to the same price they were during the Black Friday period, with the new prices applying to the first 12 months of service.
That means you can now sign up for the ‘SuperFibre’ 50mbps package for just £18 per month – down from the usual £27 (the price to jumps to £32.25 per month after the 12 months).

Elsewhere the ‘VIVID’ 100mbps option is down from £32 per month to £23 per month for the first 12 months (£37.25 thereafter).
Those looking to sign up for the 200mbps package will be pleased to learn the price has dropped from £40 per month to £31 per month for 12 months (45.25 per month thereafter).
And finally, the 200mbps ‘Gamer’ option, which comes with 20mbps upload, is £45 per month for 12 months (£50.25 a month thereafter).
There is a £14.99 one-off activation fee and in some instances you may also have to pay £40 for standard installation.
Signing up will get you a free SuperHub wireless router, unlimited usage, free access to Virgin’s WiFi hotspots, free Internet security/Parental Controls, and free email.
The discounts are expected to last until late December so if you’re considering signing up, make sure you head over to the site before Christmas.
