UK retailer confirms HTC One Mini release date and price, will set you back £380

With the HTC One Mini having been officially unveiled earlier today following months of leaks and rumours, a UK retailer has now revealed the upcoming HTC One Mini release date and price.
While HTC formally announced the 4.3-inch spin-off to its flagship HTC One handset this morning, the Taiwanese manufacturer failed to confirm exactly when the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini rival will go on sale, or indeed how much it will set back wannabe owners.
Offering tantalising insight into the phone’s arrival, however, UK based online handset retailer MobileFun has now claimed the HTC One Mini release date will see the mid-market device touch down next month priced just shy of the £380 marker.
“Mobile Fun are happy to announce that we’ll be offering the HTC One Mini sim-free and unlocked, for £379.99,” an official blog post by the online retailer has confirmed. “The phone will be available from August.”
An official spokesperson for the company added: “We’ll also be offering a full range of HTC One Mini accessories for the new phone, including the leading brands of HTC One Mini cases like Case-Mate, Cellular Line and first-party HTC.”
Although currently unofficial, the claimed August HTC One Mini release date fits with the August 9 arrival previously leaked prior to the phone’s unveiling. “#HTC #OneMini #M4 hits UK stores 9th August 2013.” Twitter based tipster @ViziLeaks declared earlier this week.
Letting wannabe owners already place their pre-orders for the dual-core phone, MobileFun’s £379.99 HTC One Mini price tag would see the handset land £30 more than its leading rival, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
The HTC One Mini specs sheet sees a reduced form factor play host to a more refined array of innards, with a 1.4GHz dual-core CPU featured alongside the same 4-UltraPixel rear-mounted camera as the HTC One. Stereo speakers with BoomSuond audio are added to the mix, with 1GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and 16GB of internal storage also making the cut.
