Sunset Overdrive available to digitally pre-order and pre-download

Microsoft has announced that Sunset Overdrive is available to pre-order and pre-download now for the Xbox One.

The game has now officially gone gold, so you can pre-order both the Sunset Overdrive Day One Edition and the Sunset Overdrive Day One Digital Deluxe Edition via Xbox Live.

If you do pre-order and pre-download the game ready to play straight away on release, you’ll get two special bonus weapons to use against the OD. These are the Acordes de la Muerte, a guitar-themed melee weapon, and The Hangover, another melee weapon but this time made out of beer can and an electrified pitchfork.

Both the Day One and Day One Digital Deluxe Edition come with the added perks of:

  • Nothin’ but the Hits – An overcharged version of the High Fidelity gun with multi-coloured vinyls
  • It’s Me! Fizzie! – A special Fizzie costume for you to wear
  • Hardcore! Hammer – It’s a hammer made from a bat and spiked dumb-bells

With the Day One Digital Deluxe Edition, you get the Sunset Overdrive Season Pass, but also more additional bonuses to use at launch.

You get six exclusive outfits, including Bomber Ninja, Disco Champion and Goth Lolita; two amps – Smite for turning your enemies into a cloud of smoke and XP Mod for leveling up your weapon faster; and two Traps – Kaboom!, which creates an explosive bunch of balloons and Death by Decibel for creating a massive speaker that blows your enemies away with rock music.

Sunset Overdrive is out on October 31 in the UK exclusively for the Xbox One.
