Sonic and Pac-Man on Xbox One? Now that’s serious backwards compatibility

Microsoft has announced the newest wave of backwards compatible games for Xbox One and among them are two of gaming’s most iconic names; Sonic and Pac-Man.
The newer Sonic The Hedgehog 4 (episodes 1 & 2) games for Xbox 360, can now be played on the new-gen console too.
Rounding out the list of eight new games are Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Crystal Defenders, Fret Nice and NeoGeo Battle Museum.

That brings the total of games available since November’s launch up to 225, which includes last week’s release of Red Dead Redemption.
As always, players who bought this game on the Xbox 360 will see it show up for download on their new console.
If you’ve been eyeing them for a while, they can also be purchased individually.
