Snail Games console and smartphone to launch at CES 2015

Snail Games has announced it will launch its first gaming smartphone and console at CES 2015.
Previously dominant in the Chinese gaming industry, Snail Games has confirmed it will launch its first gaming hardware devices including two smartphones and a console.
The smartphones are called the W and the W 3D and are designed to look not dissimilar to devices like the PS Vita, with a gamepad and face buttons.
The W 3D will apparently feature glasses-free 3D display and eye-tracking technology, similar to the Amazon Fire Phone.
Both smartphones will run on Android and will come pre-installed gaming-centric software.
“Our devices will come pre-installed, free gaming content, but can play any of the popular titles on them,” said Snail Games USA Vice President Jim Tsai. “We want to provide our customers a complete gaming experience through our devices.”
Snail Games’ first gaming console will be called the OBox and will run on an adapted OS.
However, it is a modular-designed Android gaming console, which Snail Games claims it aims to “unlock new opportunities for entertainment and gaming.”
Snail Games already provides telecom services in China, with a focus on data packages for mobile gamers. The plan is to bring this to the US in due course.
Both smartphones and the console will be unveiled at CES 2015 in January.
TrustedReviews will be on hand to bring you all the latest from the Las Vegas based trade show.
