Silk White version of OnePlus 6 hits the OnePlus store

Update (5/6/18): The new OnePlus 6 in Silk White is now available on the OnePlus store. This model not only comes in the new stunning finish but also includes 8GB of RAM and is only available with the larger 128GB of storage. You’re not paying a premium for this new colour, however, as it is retailing for £519 (the same as the other higher-spec models).

Our original story continues below.

Originally announced alongside the new phone, the white OnePlus 6 now has an official release date and price.

The new handset (which is technically ‘silk white’ in colour) is due to arrive on June 5, and will be available to order from 10am in the UK according to a countdown on the official OnePlus store.

You won’t be paying a price premium for the new phone. It will come packing 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and will cost the same amount as the existing Mirror Black and Midnight Black versions of the phone with the same specs, £519.

However, the white version of the phone is being marketed as a limited edition, so don’t expect it to be available forever.

In our review, we called the OnePlus 6 “the best-value phone you can buy right now, without a doubt.”

If you’re looking for the absolute best Android handset around then this isn’t it, but if you’re in the market for a mid-range handset then the OnePlus 6 is a great option.
