Shadow of the Beast’s PS4 remake will include the original Amiga release as an in-game unlock as well as its soundtrack.
Sony detailed more information about the forthcoming digital title in a PlayStation Blog post.
“As fans of the original,” the blog post reads, “we wanted to offer new players the chance to experience first-hand the game that inspired us, and offer fellow fans of the original a chance to re-live it.

“To that end, we’ve included a full emulation of the original Amiga game (we think this might be the first time an Amiga emulation has been published on a Sony console!) as an unlockable bonus in the main game. That means you’ll get the entire original Amiga game alongside the new Shadow of the Beast!”
The post goes on to note that the soundtrack will also be available as an unlock.
Alongside the post Sony released a video featuring the game’s original creators – Martin Edmondson and Roger Dean – discussing the remake.
Shadow of the Beast launches on PS4 on 17 May.
