Samsung unleashes Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatible Q series soundbars

Samsung’s 2020 QLED TV range will benefit from the new Q Series soundbars, which are set to bring even greater integration between TV and audio devices.
Samsung’s latest range of top-end soundbars for Europe features the Q800T, Q70T and Q60T.

Using Samsung’s Acoustic Beam technology, part of the range will support object-based audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, as part of Samsung’s commitment to convey “the most immersive experience possible”.
Though we haven’t heard (or seen) the new range up close yet, we’re expecting them to carry on from the good work achieve by last year’s range. The Q800T is expected to have up-firing speakers in the front and rear speakers, with the features tailing off as you go down the line.
The Q800T and Q70T support both Atmos and DTS:X, while the Q60T only features support for DTS Virtual: X. The HW-Q90R and HW-Q80R from 2019 will carry on for this year.

The Q Series weren’t the only audio devices that Samsung has announced. There’s an S Series in the S60T and S40T, which provide a “powerful standalone performance” The S, which we assume stands for stylish and smart, is compact and designed to blend in with any decor. Samsung says it’s been made with music lovers in mind who appreciate premium design.
There’s no confirmation on prices and availability, but we’ll update this article as soon as we hear word about it.
