Samsung Galaxy S7 UK release date tipped as March 11

The new range of Samsung Galaxy S7 flagship smartphones will go on sale in Europe on March 11, according to a tip posted to Twitter.
In a tweet on Friday Shai Mizrahi, a regular Android Authority tipster, tells Galaxy fans to mark their calendars for the first rollout of the Galaxy S7 family.
That’s in line with the rumoured release date for the United States market, making a simultaneous global launch very possible.
If the information is reliable, it’s great news for Samsung who had to wait until mid-April before the Galaxy S6 was released in 2015.
The range, expected to launch at MWC 2016 in Barcelona next month, is set to include the Galaxy S7 itself, as well as an Edge variant. Whether both will go on sale on March 17 remains to be seen.
The Galaxy S6 flagship was seen as a failure, leading to declining profits and poor financial forecasts for 2016. As such the Galaxy S7 is seen as a hugely significant launch for the company.

Recent rumours have suggested it’ll have a class-leading battery life, offering 17 hours of video playback – at full brightness.

Elsewhere the Android 6.0 devices will boast a new Exynos chip or the Snapdragon 820, depending on the territory.
