Galaxy Note 20 Ultra ‘Mystic Bronze’ render leaks and Samsung’s baby got back

We’re now in July, which means we can excitedly say the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 will likely arrive next month. Now we can get even more pumped because it looks like we’ve got a nice look at the expected Galaxy Note 20 Ultra thanks to Samsung itself.

Max Weinbach of XDA Developers posted an image of a purported Mystic Bronze version of the phone with appeared on Samsung’s Russian website. We’ve previously seen this device shade referred to as Copper, but this is by far the best look yet.

The most striking thing, aside from that shiny exterior and matching S Pen stylus, is the chunky camera bump on the rear of the device. The triple camera system looks to have more pronounced bump than the previous generation Galaxy Note 10 smartphone, which suggests a good deal of extra tech has been smooshed in.

That’s likely to mean the 108-megapixel lens debuted within the Galaxy S20 range will make its way into the Note range this year too. However, recent rumours suggest that 100x Space Zoom tech may be limited to 50x.

We’re also hearing the secondary camera may be a 13-megapixel option featuring a periscope lens that would provide 5x optical zoom – a revelation on the S20. The third camera looks as if it’ll be an ultra-wide lens with a 12-megapixel resolution. Also within the camera array is a large LED flash as well as a laser-based autofocus system.

Elsewhere, the phones will probably be powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC, which is an enhanced version of the processor that appeared in the S20, with a greater focus on gaming.

Recent reports suggest Samsung is planning to unveil the Note 20 series at an Unpacked event as early as August 5, alongside a wide range of other products. The Galaxy Fold 2 might make an appearance, as well as a 5G version of the Galaxy Z Flip. The mooted Galaxy Fold Light now looks as if it’ll slip into 2021.
