RhinoShield SolidSuit is a tough, classy case for your iPhone

Highly protective phone cases are usually bulky, but the RhinoShield SolidSuit is slim as anything.

At under 2mm thick, it’ll fit in your pocket without adding any noticeable bulk. It also weighs less than 30g, so won’t put a dint in your pocket.

But it’s hardwearing too. It features RhinoShield’s patented EggDrop tech, which protects your phone from drops of up to 11 feet. In other words, you can drop it from the first floor of a building onto concrete, and it’ll come up unscathed.

It comes in two finishes – leather or carbon fibre. There’s no advantage of one over the other, it just depends on your preference.

You get a choice of colours too: black or dark blue, for both finishes.

The leather isn’t genuine leather. Instead, it’s a synthesised leather finish that looks and feels just like the real thing. The thinking behind this was so that no animals were harmed in its making.

It’s soared past its £6,000 funding goal and still has 31 days to go. Pledge £17 or more and you’ll have one delivered when it ships in May.

RhinoShield has had some success on Kickstarter before. Its previous projects include the RhinoShield CrashGuard case and the RhinoShield Screen Protector.

Here’s a look at the SolidSuit in action.
