*UPDATE* Activision Blizzard has confirmed the release date of May 24 for Overwatch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One in a press release.
Original story follows:
Overwatch, Blizzard’s multi-player shooter, will launch for PC and consoles on 24 May, according to a recent leak on IGN
The leak was discovered by eagle-eyed users on NeoGAF, who spotted the release date in a premature ad campaign.
IGN quickly took the advertisement offline, but not before a handful of users grab a few screenshots.

In addition to the release date, the advertisement also mentions an open beta for all those who pre-order, starting on 3 May.

Last year, developer Blizzard announced it plans to release Overwatch simultaneously for PS4, Xbox One and PC, and it seems that is still the case.
The Overwatch closed beta returned to PC earlier last month, and has since introduced a number of new gameplay features.
Players now have the ability to unlock skins, emotes and victory poses for each character. The progression system is tied to your entire account too, so you won’t have to worry about grinding every character.
