Oppo R7s mid-range metal phone announced

Oppo has announced a classy new mid-range Android phone, the Oppo R7s.
The heavy use of metal in a phone typically means that it’s a premium model, but that’s not the case with the Oppo R7s.
This freshly announced phone’s most noteworthy feature is a metal unibody design, yet it’s likely to retail for significantly less than the iPhone 6S, HTC One M9, and other such all-metal phones.
Elsewhere the specs are modest, if perfectly capable. There’s a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, which is covered by subtly curved 2.5D glass. This is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 CPU and an unusually generous 4GB of RAM.
You also get 32GB of internal storage, which works in conjunction with a microSD slot. Power is supplied by a 3070mAh battery, which benefits from Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge technology, which can provide two hours of talk time after just five minutes of charging.

Around back, Oppo reveals that there’s a 13-megapixel camera with phase detection auto focus, while the selfie cam is an unusually sharp 8-megapixel example.
It runs on Android 5.1.1 with Oppo’s heavily modified ColorOS 2.1 running on top.
The Oppo R7s will make its debut in Australia and a number of markets in Asia in November, while Europe and the US will receive it in December.
