Moto X Style phablet is ‘world’s fastest charging phone’, apparently

Motorola has just announced a new flagship smartphone – the Moto X Style phablet.
It’s a successor to last year’s flagship Moto X handset, and was unveiled today at Motorola’s London launch event.
Moto X Style features
For starters, you’re looking at a 5.7-inch QHD display – that’s much more than the 5.2-inch Moto X from last year.
The phone uses a huge 21-megapixel image sensor that Motorola claims uses
the latest most advanced camera technologies available.
The rear-facing camera is capable of shooting 4K video and is, apparently, “the best we’ve ever built”.
It’s also got a 5-megapixel camera on the front that makes use of a wide-angle lens.
It’s also got super-fast charging that Motorola claims is 50 per cent faster than the Samsung Galaxy S6.
Motorola describes the Style as “the world’s fastest charging phone”.

That’s juicing up a 3,000mAh battery that’s purportedly good for 30-hours of mixed use – wait for our full review on that front.
And, of course, the device is running on Google’s latest Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
But you probably want to know about the upcoming Android M, right? Well Motorola says the Style will get “priority when it comes to software upgrades”. Painfully ambiguous.
Don’t forget that the Moto X Style offers universal LTE banding, which means it will work on any carrier’s 4G network.
The device boasts a signature curved back and an array of design choices through the Moto Maker – including leather, wood, and rubber, with metallic accents and engraving available too.
The phone comes in three storage options – 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. That’s expandable by a further 128GB thanks to a microSD slot.
This phone will be available starting in September according to Motorola, with UK pricing kicking off at £359.
