Motorola Keylink keeps tabs on your keys and phone
Motorola has officially announced a Keylink accessory, which will enable owners to keep track of their keys and, perhaps more importantly, their smartphones.
The $24.99 (about £16) Bluetooth dongle can be attached to the user’s keys and prompted to play an alert using the accompanying Motorola Connect mobile app.
Just like the HTC Fetch, the Keylink works the other way too, allowing owners to locate their smartphones from up to 100 feet away, just by pushing a button on the dongle.
Better still the Motorola Keylink is platform agnostic, meaning it’ll work with iOS and Android devices. However, it’ll be of slightly more use to Android Lollipop device owners, who can add it to their list of trusted devices, ensuring the smartphone remains unlocked when in the vicinity of the dongle. Meanwhile, the replaceable battery lasts upwards of a year, according to Motorola.
The Keylink is available to buy in the United States from Motorola.com and T-Mobile, while the company is yet to announce details of international availability.
