Moov HR is a heart rate monitor you strap to your head

Heart rate monitors are becoming increasingly popular, but they’re not the most accurate devices, mostly due to the fact they’re worn on the wrist where it’s hard to get a reliable reading.
Now, Moov has had enough of such nonsense, debuting a new heart rate monitor that you wear on your head rather than your wrist.
The Moov HR is a device that can be used as part of a sweatband or swim cap, that the company says is capable of vastly improved heart rate monitoring.

Meng Li, co-founder and CEO of Moov said: “Instead of launching another product that falls in line with all of the other fitness wearables out there, we are launching a heart rate product that provides its users with much more.
“We chose to go with the head based heart rate monitor for one simple reason, accuracy. We needed MOOV HR to be incredibly accurate so that our users can train in the most effective and efficient way possible.”

It’s the third product from the Mountain View-based company, and comes packing some AI capabilities, making it more than just a fitness tracker.
The heart rate measurements recorded by the product provide the AI coach in the Moov app with more data for the most personalised and detailed feedback possible.
Moov says the Moov HR “focuses on coaching users to perform optimised workouts based on performing exercises in a target heart rate zone.”
That basically means
The HR will work with the app to display heart rate data both in the beats-per-minute number and as a continuous wave.
You can pre-order the Moov HR now for £45 through the Moov website, but the company says it will be priced at £75 once shipping has started.
The sweatband or swim cap accessory is included with the device, but you can also buy them separately.
