ITV Hub launches as ITV Player rebrand, lands on Amazon

Love the ITV Player? Forget about it – it’s dead to us all now.
Long live the ITV Hub, the new video streaming service from ITV, which is officially launching today.
The ITV Hub, which was announced in September, brings all of ITV’s services under one brand.
It’s a similar move to Channel 4’s recent rebranding of 4oD as All 4.
At the time of the announcement, ITV revealed its hopes for the ITV Hub to replace both the ITV Player and itv.com.

The new ITV Hub is now live on the web, mobile, and connected TVs.
The streaming service is also newly available on Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Freeview Play.

What’s more, the ITV Hub will also offer new episodes of Family Guy and American Dad.
“With over 11 million registered users and 726 million long form requests last year alone, our VOD service has come of age, with live TV right at the core of our proposition,” said Paul Kanareck, ITV’s Director of Online.
