Farewell ITV Player, say hello to the ITV Hub

Online TV is a booming business, and ITV is one of the biggest players in the UK market.
The TV network has announced a major rebranding for its digital services.
ITV will now push its televisual offerings through the new ITV Hub, an online streaming platform.
The ITV Hub is set to replace both ITV Player and itv.com and is due to launch later this year on mobile devices, PCs, and smart TVs.
“
As well as on-demand content, users will also be able to stream ITV’s TV channels live.
“With over 11 million registered users and 726 million long form requests last year alone, our VOD service has come of age, with live TV right at the core of our proposition,” says Paul Kanareck, ITV’s Director of Online.

The service will also become available on Amazon’s Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, as well as the new Freeview Play service.
The TV network has also revealed that new episodes of Family Guy and American Dad will also be available on the ITV Hub.
