Using a new 9.7-inch iPad on an 85Mbps internet connection, it took us just two minutes to download iOS 11. It took around 10 more to fully install the software.
iOS 11 introduces a host of new features, including easily accessible camera filters, a customisable control centre, the ability to scan and sign documents and much more.
There’s also the ability to edit screenshots and alter photo and video capture formats.
The iPad sees the largest changes. It has a new Files system (similar to Finder on macOS) to organise content. There’s also a new full screen multitasking mode that looks like Mission Control on the Mac.
The dock has also been expanded to include more apps, just like the desktop counterpart. There’s also a new drag and drop functionality that works fantastically well with split-screen apps.
