Use this application to disguise the iPhone X’s notch
A new application has made its way onto the App Store that aims to make disguising the intrusive notch on your iPhone X a little bit easier.
The way it works is simple. You shell out £0.99 – or $0.99 in the United States – to download Notch Remover, an application that masks the notch by placing a black bar, which has been designed to mimic the curvature of the handset’s screen to make it appear contiguous, across the top of wallpapers.
That’s all there is to it.
But if you’ve been following our regular iPhone X coverage, you’re probably already familiar with that process; as we recently released a batch of high-resolution backgrounds that do the exact same thing. The main difference here, however, is that you’re paying for a client that lets you use your own images.

The good news is: if you’re handy with Photoshop, you don’t have to part with any cash. The folks over at Gadget Hacks have created a template that allows you to create a notch-free wallpaper using any image. All you’ll need to do is transfer the background to your device, then you’ll be good to go.
