Hide the iPhone X’s intrusive notch with these wallpapers

Tired of the notch on your iPhone X? You’ve come to the right place.

We collected a handful of high-resolution wallpapers and introduced a mask that mimics the curvature of the handset’s screen, in an attempt to make it appear contiguous – and the result is impressive, to say the least.

In the interest of being as transparent as possible, we’d like to point out a couple of things before we hand over the backgrounds. They shouldn’t take more than a few seconds to read and process, so please listen up.

  • We don’t own these images. They were created by the folks over at Design+Code. We simply downloaded them, made some minor alterations, then uploaded the revised versions to our server.
  • Installing one of these wallpapers won’t remove the notch. They’ve been designed to push the background down to make it seem like the time and battery indicator are floating when you’re at the Home screen.

Now that’s done, let’s take a look at the wallpapers.

Released in the United Kingdom on November 3, the iPhone X was designed to show the market that Apple hasn’t lost its touch when it comes to innovation. It features an edge-to-edge OLED screen, a 64-bit A11 Bionic CPU and Face ID.
