A new GTA Online update has been rolled out bringing further updates to the online platform, although the repeatedly delayed GTA Stimulus money package is still missing.
With GTA Online update 1.05 available now for both PS3 and Xbox 360 iterations of the GTA 5 online options, publisher Rockstar has stated that, while new bug fixes have been introduced, the long overdue GTA Stimulus package will not be rolled out for a further few days.
According to the developer, the new GTA Online update “addresses some residual issues where occasionally people’s vehicles or vehicle modifications were disappearing due to a cloud save failure.”
Further problems tackled by the latest GTA Online update include the introduction of new measures to ensure gamers’ progress and cash balances are secure even if there are cloud outages or network problems.
Discussing the delayed GTA Stimulus package, which will see GTA Online gamers handed $500,000 worth of GTA cash as an apology for the bug and issue hit launch of the online platform, Rockstar has once again stated that the rollout is on the horizon.
“
They added: “The Stimulus will go out over the course of a full day once it’s initiated so don’t be alarmed if people on your friends list receive it before or later than you do. Enjoy and we certainly appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort out these remaining issues.”
With the GTA Stimulus package having originally been planned to be introduced early last month, the compensatory package has repeatedly been hit with issues and delays, with Rockstar claiming it is looking to amend all bugs before rolling out its apology.
