Google offering 1TB of free storage with all Chromebook purchases
Google is offering a major incentive for new Chromebook buyers this festive season by giving away 1TB of free Google Drive storage.
New Chromebook owners will have access to $240 (around £153) worth of free storage for two years after making the purchase.
The offer is open to all new Chromebook purchases, with the ChromeOS laptops available for as little as $199 in the United States and £199 in the UK.
Google wrote on its official Google Drive Blog: “Chromebooks make day-to-day computing fast, simple and secure, whether you’re searching for a great pumpkin pie recipe or sharing a family photo from Google Drive. And now, as a bonus for the holiday season, new Chromebook buyers can get 1TB of Google Drive storage for two years — a $240 value — absolutely free.
“That’s enough space to keep more than 100,000 awkward holiday sweater pics safe and shareable in Drive. With that much free storage, you can use your Chromebook for work, play and pretty much everything else you’ll do this holiday season.”
The offer runs until January 1 2015.
