Google Nexus 4 Virgin Media release confirmed

Having become one of the most in demand handsets on the market, the Google Nexus 4 is to be made available through new avenues with Virgin Media confirming it will stock the Android 4.2 device.

With the recent Google Nexus 4 release date having been repeatedly stilted and interrupted by continuing stock shortages, Virgin Media has confirmed it is to stock the LG manufacturer, Google branded device, with the network provider offering a free Google Nexus 4 handset on selected contracts.

Although failing to offer the appealing, budget price tags that are found with the SIM-free Google Nexus 4 when purchased directly through the Google Play Store, Virgin Media will offer the Google Nexus 4 with immediate effect, offering eager consumers a new opportunity to get their mitts on the hard to come by handset. Far from the first network to offer the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 rival, the Google Nexus 4 is currently available on O2, Three and Carphone Warehouse.

Available on a selection of potentially costly 24 month contracts, Virgin Media’s Google Nexus 4 deals see the device offered with 200 inclusive minutes, 500 texts and a 500MB monthly data allowance for £31 per month with no upfront fee.

For those happy to splash a little cash on the original outlay, Virgin Media has revealed it will also offer the Google Nexus 4 with 2,500 monthly minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited mobile data for just £34 per month when the handset is bought for £99.

Google Nexus 4 Specs
Having caught consumer attention thanks to its low SIM-free price tag and premium specification, the Google Nexus 4 is a true powerhouse of the smartphone scene with a zippy 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor paired with 2GB of RAM and a hearty 2,100mAh Lithium Polymer battery.

With a 4.7-inch WXGA IPS display boasting a 1280 x 768p resolution and 320 pixels-per-inch image density to offer stunning visuals, the Google Nexus 4 screen further benefits from a scratch proof Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coasting.

Elsewhere, with the Google Nexus 4 camera collection seeing an 8-megapxiel rear-mounted snapper partnered by a second, 1.3-megapixel offering around front, the 9.1mm thick handset, which weighs in at just 139g, also features integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity options.

Are you tempted to splash out in order to snap up the Google Nexus 4 on Virgin Media or are you holding out for its next wallet friendly return to the Google Play Store? Let us know via the Trusted Reviews Twitter and Facebook feeds or through the comment boxes below.
