Cycling is great exercise, but from time to time we could all do with a helping hand to get up that steep hill. Enter the GeoOrbital Wheel.
It’s based on the orbital wheel as seen on the light cycles in Tron. It fits to your bike’s wheel in less than a minute, and gives you electric power to help you up that hill.
Included is a 36v 500w brushless motor, powered by a 36v 6Ah removable lithium-ion battery.
You can also use the battery to charge up your phone or Bluetooth speaker, though this will obviously drain it quicker.
That’s the model for 26-inch wheels. There’s also one for 28- and 29-inch wheels, and 700C. It has more power, with a range of 20 miles without pedalling and 50 miles with. Though it is slightly heavier.
You don’t need any tools to fit it, and it’s easily removable when you park up, so no one can steal it.

It comes with a foam tyre that’s impervious to flats too, so you’ll never be stranded.
It’s passed its funding goal and still has 43 days to go. The only downside? It’s not cheap. At retail, it’ll cost $950 (£646), though you can nab one on an early bird for $649 (£442). It’ll ship in November.
