Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta kicks off next month

The Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta will kick off in just over a month, Microsoft has confirmed.

The early access beta opens on April 18, and will run for six days until April 24. The open beta will then begin one day later on April 25 and run until May 1. In order to be eligible for the early access beta, you must have played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on either Xbox One or Windows 10.

If you’re yet to play Gears Ultimate, don’t worry, you have until April 11 to do so to qualify for the early access beta.

Players who qualify for early access will start to receive tokens on April 18, and said tokens will continue to be sent out in waves over the course of the beta.

There are currently no details as to what we’ll get to play when the beta drops, but no doubt it’ll involve a lot of chainsaw-wielding, shotgun-blasting and wall-hugging action.

Gears of War 4 is set to launch this year on Xbox One.
