EE TV lets you transfer recordings to mobile

EE has just added the ability to shift your EE TV recordings to a mobile device.

It’s been around 17 months since EE TV first hit the market, offering a slick set-top-box experience with an impressive feature list.

Now the EE TV has gained yet another of those features in Recordings To Go. As the name suggests, you can now transfer any recordings you might have on your EE TV box to a mobile device for viewing while out and about.

Following the update, you’ll be able to designate programmes as these Recordings To Go through the normal EPG or the app. These will then be synced to your mobile device of choice the next time it joins your home Wi-Fi network.

You’ll notice a new Recording To Go section in the main EE TV menu, which will help you manage your saved content.

These recordings won’t expire, either, so you needn’t feel rushed to view them on your phone or tablet. There’s also no date embargo on Free to View TV content, so you’ll be able to transfer recorded live TV content straight away.

“We’re continually looking at ways to offer new, exciting and innovative TV features to our customers and now we’ve made EE TV truly mobile,” said EE’s director of home broadband and television, Simeon Bird.

“With Recordings To Go, we’re now giving users unique control over how and where they choose to watch TV – whether that’s on a train, bus, tube or even a plane.”

Of course, Recordings To Go also enables EE TV to compete with one of the cooler features of Sky Q, which launched recently.
