Driveclub VR gets ESRB rating

Driveclub VR has been given a rating by the ESRB, suggesting that there’s life in the series yet despite the shuttering of Evolution Studios.
Sony recently announced that it was closing Driveclub developer Evolution Studios. Sony affirmed that the gaming franchise would live on, and this latest rating certainly suggests it will do just that. The studio has since partnered with Codemasters, the well-established racing developers who recently released Dirt Rally on consoles and also produced the F1 licensed series.

With the rating of a VR Driveclub title, many will be excited by the prospect of PlayStation VR getting a top tier racing title, potential at launch this October. It is unknown what developer has taken the reins from Evolution, but one would imagine the focus would purely be on VR-implementation over the introduction of new content or mechanics.
With PSVR set to play a big part during Sony’s press conference at E3 2016, we fully expect Driveclub to make an appearance.
