Brewing your own beer can be an arduous process. You’ve got to steep the grains, rinse off the sugars, boil the wort, add hops, cool it quickly and pitch the yeast. It can take from morning ’til night.
Over the next three weeks, you’ll nervously watch those yeast friends turn that sugary water into sweet, sweet alcohol and if you’re lucky you’ll be bottling or kegging a great beer after lots more effort to keep everything sterile.
However, the first time you crack one open a couple of weeks later, it’s without question, worth all the hard work.
A new gadget wants to take away the elbow grease and, with it, probably a whole lot of the satisfaction.
The BrewArt brewing system (via Mashable), from the makers of Coopers brewing ingredients in Australia, is kinda like a Nespresso machine, but for brewing beer.

Recipes are available and customisable via the mobile app and the makers hope that’ll encourage people to experiment once they’re comfortable. It’s all completely Wi-Fi controlled meaning you’ll know exactly when a pint is ready to pull
This one-push effort makes the process even easier than the PicoBrew Zymatic, launched by former Microsoft employees back in 2013.
However, it’s not cheap either. The BrewDroid costs A$799 (£444) and the BrewFlo costing A$699 (£389).
Conversely, if you feel like doing it the old fashioned way and actually getting some satisfaction from learning to brew, you can buy everything you need for around £150.
It’ll launch in Australia in mid-July before hitting the US. No news yet on a UK launch.
