BlackBerry KEYone to get all-black flavour?
BlackBerry may have been struggling since the rise of the iPhone, but its latest KEYone handset was a solid offering from the once great smartphone maker.
Re-introducing the physical keyboard to a new generation, the KEYone offered a great Android experience and solid battery life, even if it didn’t do quite enough to win over Samsung and Apple adherents.
And now it seems we might be getting an all-black version of the handset, if a new leak is anything to go by.

Over in China, a completely black version of the KEYone was spotted for sale online (via), suggesting BlackBerry could release a new variant in the coming weeks.
The current model comes with a black finish on the body, with grey/silver highlights on the edges and keyboard.
However, nothing about this new version is official at this point, and even if true, it could be the all-black model is intended solely for China.
That said, some reports claim we could see the black KEYone launch in China on August 8, with further markets receiving the model in the future.
At this point its all unclear, so take the rumours as just that for now. Still, an all-black version of the phone may be a good way for BlackBerry to extend the life of its latest handset.
Whatever the case, a new hue simply won’t be enough to make up for the KEYone’s shortcomings and win over Galaxy and iPhone users.
Specifically, the phone’s underpowered Snapdragon 625 CPU means the KEYone feels overpriced in comparison to other options.
