Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 14 surround sound system launched

Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 14 has been launched as the Danish company’s new surround sound speaker system.
Complete with up to six active speakers, BeoLab 14 is for design connoisseurs that want a surround sound system that becomes an artistic feature in their living rooms, while still providing great sound quality.
“Providing simple integration for people who do not own one of our televisions but still want to enjoy a true Bang & Olufsen sound experience has been a particular focus for our development team,” said Tue MAntoni, CEO at Bang & Olufsen. “BeoLab 14 connects seamlessly to all Bang & Olufsen televisions, but it also lifts any other TV or AV receiver into a whole new level of sound performance.”
Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 14 Features
BeoLab 14 is available in two versions, the first offers the subwoofer and four satellite speakers for consumers who have Bang & Olufsen TVs, while the second has the subwoofer and five satellite speakers for anyone who has another brand of TV.
At the core of both options is the BeoLab 14 subwoofer that has 280 watts of dedicated power for its 8-inch downwards-facing driver. The active sub is capable of delivering sufficient base levels even at low frequencies down to 26hz.
It also offers a Digital Signal Processor, Adaptive Bass Linearisation and five individual 140 watt amplifiers with separate equalisers for each satellite speaker.
The satellite speakers have active 2.5-inch treble and midrange drivers allowing Bang & Olufsen to keep them 16cm in diameter with an aluminium frame.
The Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 14 surround sound system is compatible with any TV or surround sound receiver and comes with wall brackets as standard.
