Apple expands free Beats with Mac and iPad Pro offer — Brits now invited
Apple recently announced it was offering free Beats headphones to US students, with the purchase of a Mac or iPad Pro.
Now the company has expanded the annual ‘back to school’ offer to Europeans, meaning Brits can jump aboard too.
The offer entitles the qualifying student to a free pair of Beats Solo3, BeatsX or PowerBeats3 headphones.
The MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, or Mac Pro are all eligible. As are the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models. Anything else, in case you’re wondering Mac mini fanciers, is not.

The free headphones promotion is on top of the hefty discounts already offered through the Apple Store for Eduction.
If you’re a current or newly accepted university student, a parent buying for one or a teacher/staff, you can save up to £270 on a new Mac, and up to £59 on a new iPad.
All parties will need to verify their eligibility through Apple or with the Unidays student discount service.
The promotion is available in store and online in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.
Given the new UK school year doesn’t start for another month, there’s still plenty of time for students/teachers to pick out their perfect combo.
