Ambi Climate makes your air conditioner smart
There’s no shortage of smart home appliances around at the moment. Here’s an add-on that adds smart skills to your existing air conditioner.
It lets you sync your air conditioner with your smartphone, so you can control and monitor it wherever you are.
It automatically adjusts your air conditioning depending on the changing environmental conditions, too. So as the temperature drops outside, the air conditioning becomes less strong.
You probably won’t need it too strong on a day like today, for instance.
It also learns from your own preferences and daily routine, and tailors the temperature. Like the house to be nice and warm first thing? No problem. Want it cool when you get in from work? Ditto.
The makers claim that by improving the efficiency of your air conditioner, you can slash a third off your energy bill.
The app is for Android and iOS, and gives you full control of your settings. It learns over time what’s most comfortable for you, and tailors the temperature to your needs. Of course you can adjust it manually too from wherever you are. So if you’re on your way back from a run, and have got all hot and bothered, you can come into a nice cool house.
It’s already raised over $55,000 of a $25,000 funding target, and there are still 36 days to go. For more, head to the Kickstarter page.
