Amazon’s newest original series’ sound pretty Van Damme funny

Amazon has announced it has approved three new original comedy series, coming exclusively to Prime video in 2017.

The most notable appears to be Jean-Claude Van Johnson, starring none other than Jean-Claude Van Damme, playing himself as ‘the world’s most dangerous contractor.’

He goes by the name of Johnson. Hooray!

If that wasn’t enough to satisfy your need for 80s nostalgia and double entendre, Kevin Bacon will star as Dick in I Love Dick.

From the creators of the award-winning Transparent, I Love Dick charts the story of a married couple whose idea of monogamy is challenged by Dick.

Finally, in yet another 80s revival, The Tick, starring Peter Serafinowicz as the title character, is based on the comic book of the same name. It was last attempted as a TV sitcom in 2001.

Following the success of Stranger Things on Netflix it seems the 80s is well and truly en vogue once again. All three shows will be available next year in the US, UK, Germany, Austria and Japan.
