Looking at its spec sheet, the X-Fi is a highly impressive player. It's absolutely crammed with features - some useful, some not - has good storage capacity and its memory expandability allows it to challenge even some hard disk-based players. Sound quality is also good, as are the included headphones.

However, the whole package just feels lacking. The styling is sub-par, the storage expansion is poorly implemented, and what extras there are, many people will never use. Essentially, if you value video and sound quality, then go for the X-Fi but if you just want a stylish easy to use mp3 player then you'd be better off with the Apple nano. Read more...

yeah, dude. i use a chumoy amp, same case a the "fire in the head" column from TR. brilliant bits of kit, never leave home without it, literally.

What's the firmware on the zen xfi? I just realised that they have a latest firmware ver1.03.01 said to improve the sound with x-fi. How does it sound? From what I understand ... more
