Yeah well, you may think it's OK but I am not at all impressed! I had a Panasonic DMP-BD75 given to me as a gift. The friend specifically asked if this model was region free and was told that it absolutely is. RUBBISH!
I rang Panasonic and was told that this model can not be converted by them or any other way at all.
Does anyone know more about this than their customer service staff and have any idea how to get around it?

Okay... so you're saying the player's not okay because a sales rep told you it was region free when it isn't. Sorry but that's just not a valid criticism.

As with many Blu-ray/DVD players, it appears you can hack this model to be region free with the help of a special remote control, and you can make it region free for blurays as well if you're willing to add an extra chip in. Overall, though, it's a legal grey area selling truly region free players and I believe most of the big name manufacturers require you to at least perform some form of remote control hack to enable a region free mode.

Here's a link for some advice:

I bought mnefrom Riher Sounds. It plays DVDs from ALL REGIOS.No hack required. As fa as I'm aware there is no hack/or remote device available to hack the Blu Ray.I've tried all the decent hack sites.

So lynettewillis1 are you referring to DVD playback or Blu Ray? Eithr way your criticism isnot really warranted!

I have this player and whenever I try to navigate the folders on my connected HDD to get to my Movies folder, the option to enter that folder is greyed out. Does anyone know why this is?
