Withings has updated its Health Mate app to include the new Activité and Activité Pop, but neither smartwatch can yet be used with an Android smartphone.
The French company has previously stated that the smartwatches will become compatible with Google’s mobile operating system by the end of February, which gives it until Saturday to come good with its promise.
As things stand, tapping on either of the Activité smartwatches in the app takes you through to the product page on the Withings website. The option to install the devices isn’t yet unlocked.
Oddly enough, you still can’t purchase either model through the Withings website, though they’re both available from Currys/PC World.
The Activité and Activité Pop have attracted plenty of attention since they launched at CES last month. While they’ve been hailed as two of the most sensible and best-looking wearables on the market, Withings has caused plenty of confusion with its pricing structure.
The higher-end Activité will set you back £320, while the more wallet-friendly Activité Pop costs a massive £200 less, at just £120.

This is entirely due to the materials involved. The Pop substitutes the Activité’s super-tough sapphire crystal display and calf leather strap for a regular mineral glass display and a rubber strap. Otherwise, they’re almost identical.
They look alike, both are waterproof to at least 30m and tracking is monitored in the same way, with a primary dial telling the time and a smaller one showing how close you are to achieving your daily goal.
