Ahead of tonight’s Champions League Final, broadcasting giant Sky has officially updated the Sky Sports iPad app, bringing any angle viewing to the tablet based broadcasts.

Allowing viewers to take control of the action, the updated Sky Sports iPad app helps solve the question, where to watch the Champions League Final, with users’ tablets enabling them to make use of live multi-camera technology from EVS.
Able to enjoy replays of the game’s highlight moments from their choice of camera, the Sky Sports 360 features introduced to the iPad and iPad mini application, users can also see the action in slow-motion, further added to the drama of the football season’s European showpiece.
“This is great news for the Sky Sports for iPad app, which keeps getting better and better,” David Gibbs, Director of Sky Sports Digital Media said. “This is about putting the technology into the hands of the viewer and allowing them to recapture the big moments in the final. It’s the first time we’ve offered this through our app and it’s another example of our investment in the Sky Sports viewer’s experience.”
Located within the designated Champions League Event Centre section of Sky Sports iPad app, the new any angle Sky Sports 360 features will be available throughout the game which kicks off at 7:45pm. The Sky Sports iPad app is available as a free download for all Sky TV customers.
