Tidal marks Prince’s birthday by adding fifteen new albums

Tidal

Tidal has added a whopping fifteen Prince albums to its streaming catalogue, on what would have been the star’s 58th birthday.

The company has exclusive streaming rights to the Purple Rain singer’s discography and today’s additions feature some rarer releases.

The Black Album was a cancelled before it was released in 1987 (it was officially launched 7 years later), while there are also a host of live specials.

Poorly reviewed albums like Crystal Ball and The Rainbow Children have also been added to the catalogue.

While the full-length LPs may be familiar to ardent fans, this may be the first opportunity for younger fans to jump on the lesser-heard material.

Tidal is available for standard quality streaming at £9.99, while hi-res audio is £19.99.
