Otherside Entertainment has teased System Shock 3 ahead of a full announcement later this week.
Although you might not quite believe it, the System Shock series is making a comeback.
Earlier this week a teaser page was posted on Twitter on the OtherSide Entertainment account – a small studio led by Paul Neurath, the co-founder of the System Shock developer Looking Glass Studios.
The tweet linked to a page showing a countdown timer that still shows just over 4 days left until a full announcement.
But, one page went live a little early and revealed the surprise. System Shock 3 is coming.

All we know about the game so far is the name, and that Ken Levine isn't involved in the title whatsoever.
Levine tweeted out to disperse any rumours that might start circulating about his involvement in the game:
Both System Shock and its sequel System Shock 2 were both hugely influential games, particularly because the latter was the blueprint for BioShock.
A company called Night Dive Studios just acquired the rights to the System Shock series, and is planning a full remake of the first game.
It did hint that it had plans to continue the series, but it seems those plans will actually be put into action by OtherSide.
Founded just a year ago, OtherSide is apparently "focused on rebooting classic game franchises".
