Siri for Mac appears in leaked OS X preview screenshots
Apple’s next Mac OS X update is scheduled to include a long-requested feature, judging by reports on Wednesday.
Screenshots obtained by MacRumors show the presence of Siri, Apple’s voice-controlled personal assistant within the Mac OS X 10.12 interface.
One of the grabs (below) shows the Siri waveform icon within the traditional Dock, between the Finder and Launchpad icons.
Another (above), shows a black and white icon within the Menu Bar at the top of the display, spelling out Siri.
The “trusted source” says clicking either of these icons will bring up the familiar “What can I help you with?” waveform, in turn turning on the microphone.

According to the report, those buttons will also be boosted by the hands-free “Hey Siri” functionality, which can be enabled within System Preferences.
It now seems highly likely the long-awaited Siri for Mac app will be officially revealed at WWDC next month.
The annual developers’ conference will kick off on June 13, where software updates for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch are also expected.
