The Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime – a QHD display packing S5 spinoff – has leaked once again ahead of an official unveiling.
With a QHD Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime having been the subject of multiple leaks and rumours in recent weeks, the heavily teased handset has now made yet another appearance, this time via a Korean website.
Having been repeatedly teased under the model number of the Samsung SM-G906 - the flagship Galaxy S5 is the SM-900 - the mooted Galaxy S5 Prime has popped up once again(image below), although the retail product listing offers no new details on the rumoured device.
Disappointingly there is no word on the phone’s expected arrival time either, with the listing showing the Prime in a Spigen case, an image that has previously done the rounds.
As always we suggested that the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime leaks are taken with a considerable pinch of salt.
Although Samsung has long been known to be working on QHD and 2K smartphones, a launch date for the currently unofficial Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime is still unclear.
Expected to follow in the shadow of its bitter rival, Samsung is not expected to launch the Galaxy S5 Prime until the all but confirmed LG G3 is already on the market.
With LG having already shown off the 5.5-inch QHD display expected to feature on its LG G2 replacement, the LG G3 will be formally showcased during an already confirmed launch event on May 27.
